Services
Thankfully, we have products available that will allow our pets to be relatively flea-free when used properly. Heartworm disease is an extremely serious disease found throughout the United States and also in other parts of the world. It is primarily a disease of canines (dogs) but will also occur in cats.
This single word has a wide variety of reactions - Fear, Worry, Anxiety, or even Indifference. No matter how you react, hurricanes are a part of living in the southeastern United States. So far in 2020, we have had three named tropical storms and we are still in June! Have a plan for what to do in the event of a tropical storm or hurricane and DON'T forget to plan for your four-legged family too!
Adult fleas spend most of their time on your pet. Within 24 hours of being on your pet, female fleas begin to lay eggs - up to 50 eggs per day! These eggs fall off your pet and land on the floor, in furniture (including pet bedding), or anywhere your pet goes! The eggs hatch into a larva (maggot-like) stage which grows until they form a cocoon.
Ticks are most commonly found in a wooded or overgrown area. These parasites like an environment with brush, shrubs or other vegetation and any animal or person entering these habitats risks exposure to ticks (and to the diseases which ticks carry). Diseases are spread by all of these ticks, including Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Lyme's Disease, and many others.

I was very pleased with the quality of my corgi puppy's exam--Dr. Goldby trimmed his nails, went over weight standards with me, offered grooming tips, and answered all of my questions well above my expectations. COVID-19 has caused a decline in care standards at other vet clinics that I've visited, but Spruce Creek Animal Clinic provided me with the environment and care that I've been searching for. I'm happy to say that after my visit today, I made another appointment to establish my other dog at this clinic!

My grandfather, my mother and myself have always used this vet! Since my grandpa moved from to Florida in the early 70s, this has been our vet to use! I will forever use this vet for the kindness, reliability and the experience they have!
My kitten Nemo has glaucoma, and they instantly knew but of course still texted his pressure! About six months after we adopted him (he was attacked twice from a young pit bull, untrained puppy) he started having pretty bad seizures which a few tests later we found that he needed medication for which has really helped him. He about a year and half old, just to see him not suffer anymore is everything! 100% amazing vet office! Thank you so much

We have brought our pets here for over 30 years and would not go anywhere else. The doctors are compassionate and really go out of their way for you and your pet and they are HONEST. The staff are the nicest girls you want to meet and are so accommodating. They are reasonable with their rates and do not give services that are not needed. Thank you Spruce Creek Animal Clinic for taking care of our loved sidekicks all of these years!

Conned me to a get a teeth cleaning and blood work for 12yr old cat who was in great health. They damaged her trachea with the tube and I've spent 750$ so far getting some diagnosis from other clinics. plus the initial 300$. 2 weeks later she is puffed up again and might die. She was in perfect health before their negligent operation. I also called and they showed little interest or remorse and told me to send them info from the other clinics.
I just hope my cat can heal and be a healthy happy cat again. I truly regret trusting the doctor and his idiotic staff. I will never trust this industry based off my own knowledge and this experience. I hope spruce creek vet reads this and cares enough to follow up and pay me back and try to make it right. shame on you all.

I have been using Spruce Creek Animal Clinic since 1985 when Dr. Nipper and Dr. Trantham were in practice together. They have both since retired and Dr. Goldby is our vet now. She loves our fur babies and encouraged us to keep them on their healthy but rather pricey food that they were already on when we adopted them. She said you may save money now each month but it may cost you more in vet bills down the road. They just went for their shots and checkup and they're doing great. They have beautiful coats, lots of energy, and great overall health. I'm so glad we listened to her wise advice.
P.S. this isn't food they have in the office so she wasn't try to sell us anything. She just genuinely wants what's best for our fur babies.

My wife and I had been coming here with our 2 fur babies for right around 4 years. We always bring our dogs in for check ups, lab work, medications, and our chihuahua gets pressure testing for her glaucoma. We've always had great experiences with Dr. Goldby and it's clear that she has an exemplary passion for her patients and this clinic. This is the only saving grace for this 2 star review.
Over the past 4 years we were always doubling back and forth to our home and their office at each visit because their office would "not have records" of any of our visits or paperwork brought in; ie other shot records. Normally not a big deal, but it came to a point where the clerical / reception staff were taking out these issues on us, including remarks and poor attitude/customer service.
Just like any other doctors office, there would be a wait. Except these waits got pushed from 5-10 minutes after arrival, to 30+ minutes just to get someone to come outside to check us in. Still no problem, we're understanding and patient. In our last visit it seems the long delays, poor customer service, and poor clerical keeping had all come to a head.
After waiting outside in the heat for 30 minutes just for a prescription pickup, the front desk person came out to inform me my paperwork was missing/we never gave it to them. I calmly explain the situation and how I can have the forms emailed over for her convenience, she huffed and puffed went back inside to look again and slammed the door in my face, no words were exchanged.
She just walked away. After some period of time, she returns and tells me I have to bring my other dog (dog B) so I can pick up Dog A's medication - regardless of missing paperwork. I ask for an explanation. She huffs and puffs and starts yelling at me about it's not her fault with the paperwork. "ma'am please don't raise your voice at me." Again, she huffs and puffs, slams the door in my face and goes back inside.
Several minutes later another of the vets comes out, not announcing himself or position at the clinic, at this time we exchange sentiment about the paperwork and I hurt his feelings by saying "you're not a doctor" unknown he's a actually a vet. After that he goes back inside to confide in his colleagues and comes back to tell me both dogs need to come back before either can have any medicine.
Even though we had an arrangement made with dr. Goldby to pick up said medication. Long story short, we will miss you Dr. Goldby. But we took our pups to Ravenwood to get reestablished and they've made us feel like family and have our chihuahua right back on track.

My little Chloe just went in today, 11/6/2020 for a chipped tooth extraction. She was so well taken care of. All of their employees are so caring and helpful. Chloe loves to go on car rides and knows when we get close to their office. She gets so excited. Thank you Dr. Hancock and all the staff for taking such great care of our little girl.

FINALLY a vet who cares about the well being of my cat and any concerns I have about anything at all for her. I was referred to Dr Goldby from a friend. I was able to get a new patient appointment 8 weeks out. I waited patiently and I am so glad we did! She took time to talk with me, I wasn't product-pushed and we were in and out with great advice and great care! We will not be going anywhere else!

I used this vet for the entire life of my first Bengal. When he passed I called the office to let them know so I wouldn't receive the annual appointment letter and all the front desk said was ok. No condolences or thanks for letting us know, just OK. The reception has always been a problem and I would see new people each time I went which thankfully was only for annual appointments.
I did like my vet Dr. Goldby and the techs, it's just reception that was terrible. When I recently got my new Bengal I called for an appointment I received one a few weeks away on a Saturday with my vet of choice. On Tuesday of that week I got a call that the vet was going on leave and the office would be closed that weekend instead of another vet picking up.
Again office staff was just cold about it. I found a new vet and when I called to cancel my rescheduled time all I got was an OK and hang up again. The office didn't even try to rebook. Vets you are losing business because your front desk is plain awful. Would never go and would never recommend, no changes in over a decade pathetic and makes me feel like the whole place doesn't care about anything.

You bring your pet because you have to. You leave knowing your family member is loved.
They have loved all four of our kids. I can’t help but say everyone LOVES our pups, to us our kids.
I wouldn’t trust anyone more.
Thank you everyone that works there.
Trust is what you need. Love is what you get back.
