I can't say enough great things about the HRAH staff. They are always so patient with my nervous girl, and have been giving me great advice on how to make her more comfortable as she ages. They take their time with us and always give my pup time to warm up to them before giving her her vaccines. Their Senior Care Package is the absolute best-very reasonably priced and includes all the bloodwork, vaccines, and exams a doggo could need in a year!

We absolutely LOVE HRAH. With Dr. Todd's help, we kept our first baby girl 5 years longer than we ever thought possible through his expertise and guidance with a holistic approach. Dr. Todd truly takes time to connect with his patients and their families as long as necessary to diagnose and support.

Dr. Todd is excellent but the front staff and the techs are difficult to deal with. We've been taking our dogs or HRAH for 4 years. Since COVID the experience, when communicating with staff, has been disappointing. We will not be returning after the way we were treated the last time we attended an appointment. When attempting to communicate my disappointment and concerns over the way my dog and I were treated, the front staff made it clear that they did not want to hear my concerns nor did they care about our business. If it wasn't for the staff we would stay because of Dr. Todd.

I have had wonderful experience with Hanging Rock Animal Hospital, they are very kind and understanding. Have had two animals taken there and the care was tremendously great and treated us both very well. Thank you so much

Dr. Todd and the staff at Hanging Rock are simply wonderful. They are specially trained to work with dogs that don’t love the vet. Our dog, Lucy, is not a huge fan of going to the vet and they worked wonders with her. They were able to meet us with Lucy outside to make Lucy feel more comfortable. They also performed as much of the exam and procedure as they could outside. Lucy received Prolotherapy for a damaged cruciate ligament. Lucy had a surgery on this same injury (same leg) a couple years prior to this and there were still some artificial pieces in there from that. Dr. Todd was able to take some of that out! She made a full recovery from this procedure and is doing great. We are so grateful to Hanging Rock animal hospital!!!

Hanging Rock Animal Hospital is the BEST in the Roanoke Valley. Dr. Honeycutt and "Dr. Todd" are knowledgeable amazing vets. Their entire staff are caring compassionate people who take their time to know all of the animals and humans that walk through their door. I would and have recommended Hanging Rock Animal Hospital to everyone.

We’ve gone here for 16 years with our two dogs. They saved my older dogs life 3 separate times and did everything in their power and it worked! The staff and all the vets are AMAZING! Everyone is so sweet and they take things slowly with my younger dog, who is very timid and nervous. Highly recommend them!

They are the best! My dog Petey has been receiving accupuncture from both Dr Todd and Dr. Parker. They are both great, but I'm so happy my Petey is doing better. He's my best friend! To see him bound through the yard and bark at nothing makes my heart so happy! Besides, Petey loves to go to the vet now, .this used to be a traumatic experience for the whole day. We are taking all our dogs here from now on. Too bad they don't have doctors like this for people.

Hanging Rock Animal Hospital is the BEST! They really care about all of their furry clients and everyone’s so friendly and helpful. Thank you to Dr Todd and all of the staff for everything they do every single day to provide the excellent level of care to all of our fur babies! Blitz wasn’t thrilled about having Otipacks put in his ears but he secretly enjoyed the car ride home when he thought we weren’t looking! Lol

I brought my dog Marley in today because she got a decent sized cut on her leg while hiking. They were getting ready to close, but one of the doctors came out to see Marley's cut and assess the situation. I thought there was a chance Marley may need stitches, but after speaking with the doctor, she gave some great advice and it turns out Marley doesn't need any treatment.

It was so nice to have peace of mind though and to get a few tips on how to handle everything. Would very highly recommend this animal hospital, as both ladies working at the desk, as well as the doctor (Ashley I believe) were all so sweet and helpful! Thank you!

Most amazing vet office I have ever been to. All the staff treat you and your animal with the up most respect. Dr. Todd is who Mazey see’s and he is amazing. He takes the time to listen to you about your fur baby b/c he realizes u like other offices you know your pet best. His knowledge of not using traditional medicines also amazing. I hate to give my fur baby anything but natural if I can and he is so understanding of that.

I have also seen Dr. Honeycut once and she was also amazing and one other I apologize I don’t remember her name but my point is they are all amazing. I would never go anywhere else and thank God I found them. Mazey is in good hands with them in any situation. Thank you Dr. Tood for your knowledge and for the time you take with Mazey to help allow me to provide her the best care for a long lasting life with her, your amazing.

We are a very holistic family. This vet is such a great fit for us because they have two great holistic vets. We see Dr. Parker. He is incredibly knowledgeable. He respects our viewpoints on minimal vaccines and other toxic chemicals, he advised us on homeopathy to help detox after rabies vaccine, he supports our decision to delay neutering, and he was a wealth of knowledge in guiding us in making a decision about the best food to feed our pup (raw).

Also they are a fear free practice, meaning - they do everything they can to make the vet a nice place for the animals to go - things to help reduce anxiety/stress. We are very happy with the care we are receiving and are so happy to have found this practice.

I always have a positive experience; front staff is amazing and so friendly. They always answer all my questions, if they don't know the answer; I always receive a call back with the answer to my question. My son and I both have senior dogs. I have no doubt they would not still be with us, if it weren't for the Veterinarians at Hanging Rock. They look for the root cause, and treat the underlying issues, instead of treating the symptoms when they become ill, which in doubt has saved me several emergency visits. It is a 2 hour round trip for my son and I; it is totally worth the extra time and travel for the health of our dogs.

I love Hanging Rock! I have two mini Dachshunds and trust me, they have their health issues. Hanging Rock has saved my oldest dog 2 times, and I mean quite literally took a sick and dying dog and got her back to 110% in almost no time at all. They recommend only what is needed and will even draw up an estimate before they begin treatment. The staff is so caring and compassionate, and make me feel like family as they remember both my dogs names. I will always take my babies to Hanging Rock!

We love Dr. Todd. Very attentive, caring, and compassionate. We are finally seeing progress with our cat who has IBD since starting acupuncture with Dr. Todd. Very happy with HRAH!

Hanging Rock Animal Hospital is hands down the BEST vet clinic I have ever been too. This is the Rolls-Royce of vet clinics. From the time I walked in the door I felt like they cared about my puppy. The front staff, assistant and the vet took time to make sure the loved on her, got to know her but most importantly GAINED her trust. They explained results in a manner that you can understand and allowed time for me to make decisions instead of rushing you to do so.

I feel like my puppy was comfortable and relaxed while being at the vet, which hasn’t EVER been the case. They didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t need and were very upfront about you would be paying, before any cost for extra procedures was done. They even gave us a report card at the end of our visit recapping what was talk about and the procedures done. Best veterinary office ever! Excellent and friendly staff!
