We had an emergency with our dog Maggie, and our usual vet couldn't fit her in. Thankfully, Vinton Veterinary Urgent Care and Dr. Carey were amazing. They saw her promptly, diagnosed that she needed surgery the next morning, and thanks to their excellent care, she's like a new pup now. Needless to say, we'll be making our next regular appointments at Vinton Veterinary Hospital.

The Veterinarians here are absolutely amazing. They are caring, compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable. To be honest, I can't speak to the competitiveness of their pricing but to tell you the truth pricing would not change my choice of Veterinarian Clinics. If you are in the Roanoke Valley area, they are worth the drive!

On two separate occasions I had an emergency with one of my fur babies. My regular vet couldn't see me either time. Vinton veterinarian had me in and my pet being checked within 30 minutes of my calling. They were great with working with me on a reasonable payment plan when it was needed. They took great care of my babies. Great staff

We have been taking our dog here since 2014. It is a tremendous vet hospital and you can tell the folks here truly love animals. We see Dr. Gallagher and couldn't be more pleased with him. He is calm and patient with our dog who has anxiety when going to the vet. He is also very knowledgeable and honest when it comes to the care of our dog.

This Veterinary team is amazing and does awesome work! I had my baby boy, Pluto, taken to this clinic on same day for being super sick! They were able to get him seen as quickly as possible which did not take all day! He is doing so much better and couldn't have done it without their help. They also saved me the trouble of scrambling for money for a EVS trip! Definitely recommend them for your animal! Super nice and attentive team! Keep up the great work

This is the best veterinarian hospital around. When I first moved to Vinton I had to find a vet for my Charlie the cat. This is the one I picked. They are great helping me understand what is going on. Very clean and fresh place. They handle the animals like they were there own. My cat got crystal in his bladder and had to have emergency surgery. They took him right away and kept me informed about what was going on.
They had to keep him overnight and run IV. They didn't charge me extra cause Charlie kept pulling them out and pulled out his catheter (what a brat). Gave me all the information I need to keep him safe. Now he has to have prescription urinary tract treat's and food. They renewal it every year for me. He goes to them once a year and get a check up and a shot.
They are very helpful when I call with a question. Always nice and informative. During COVID-19 they were doing everything to keep everyone healthy and safe. They give me informed about how to handle anything I need help with. Just all around good practice and the employees you could not ask for better. They also have a reward program to help knock down the cost and get services at a decent price.

Vinton Veterinary Hospital is simply one of the best places you can take your pets to. From making appointments to getting Rascal's pre-op bloodwork completed and the dental cleaning done, the entire experience was very smooth and stress free. Once I dropped off Rascal, he was ready to be picked up in less than an hour. He experienced virtually no side effects besides sleeping the entire way home.
It worked out perfectly because he gets horribly car sick sometimes and the ride home was 4 hours or so in length. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience today. And the fee I paid for was beyond reasonable compared to the $1,100 quote that I was given elsewhere. I am so immensely thankful for Dr Wiegard, Emily, and all of the wonderful staff for taking such good care of us. I look forward to returning in the Fall for vaccinations and wellness visits as well as cleaning for my other beagle next year.

The aged receptionist does not know what is going on or what the apartments are even for so she often has to speak to a vet directly to see what is going on. if you need to change something or a vet mad an appointment for you themselves it will take time to deal with her. The veteran That spoke to me about my cats surgery was nice and knowledgable in what needed to be done and the operation was a success. They will work on payment options with you but expect you probably will be paying 100 a month till its payed off.

I love useing Vinton veterinary hospital. I moved to Vinton about 6 years ago. I have been taking my cat there since I have lived here. They are very friendly and tell you everything that is going on. They also make sure you understand what they tell you. They treat the animals with love and care. I would recommend this vet hospital to everyone.

I love my Vet. The staff took wonderful care of my 2 baby bunnies. They received their first check up and were neutered. They recovered with no issues. 8 months later they are huge happy healthy bunnies. They didn't overcharge me like Avian Exotic Pet Vet. They explained everything and what their charges were upfront. The price I was quoted was the price I paid.

We moved to the area about a year ago and had to find a new vet for our fur babies. During COVID, it is harder to find a place that you truly feel comfortable with as a new client since you don't usually go in with your pet. But, I have to say, that if you are looking for a caring business as well as a Grade A veterinarian, they have many to choose from here, but Dr. Paul Gallagher shines. He goes the extra mile for your pets as well as keeping the parent happy.

You chose to delete my post I see. Bad idea. For the past 2 years +. I have taken Jager, my Min Pin to Vinton Vet since my wife, Teresa & I were married. My last visit was on 6-17-20 and I had a question. I called was hung up on 3 times without any voice but it rang and rang before it hung up. I tried again this time it went straight to the music of your hold.
I was on hold for 14 minutes when someone answered and asked me if I could hold. I told them I had been on hold for 14 minutes (a cell phone shows how long the call has been going on) and then I heard the music again. At 24 minutes and some odd seconds someone else (different lady) else answered and asked if I had been helped. I told her no and that I had been holding for over 24 minutes.
She apologized but said they were slammed and even having to use their personal phones. I could tell she was overworked and not enough help it seemed. There has been the shift in customer service since you all went corporate a couple a few years back. It is not the same level of human customer service as it has been, and still is once you get inside or your pets do, You treat your furry customers much better than your human ones.
The lady who I spoke with could not answer my question (understandably) so she said she would give it to the office manager who was not in until Monday the 13 of July. I called on a Friday. I specifically said I need to hear from her no later than that Monday. No call, no explanation. You are about to lose me as a customer and quite possibly my wife who has been taking her pets there since 1987, she now tells me. She can speak for herself and Jackson, her Pug, and Blanch and Sophia our two cats.

Vinton Veterinary Hospital is the best! When picking a vet, I asked for referrals, checked prices, and decided this is the best fit for me and my pet. I love Dr. Hertweck! She was great about the basics of puppy training and explaining what to expect for our puppy's care. Unmatched service, responsive staff and caring techs and veterinarians. I can't speak highly enough of the staff and doctors at Vinton Veterinary Hospital!

This is by far the best vet hospital I have ever been to. I drive 3.5 hours for Dr. Wiegard. I have been with Vinton Vet for 16 years and they have only gotten better each year. Dr. Webster originally saw my dog and he was wonderful. I now see Dr. Wiegard and she is the most extraordinary vet I have ever seen. She performed a complicated surgery on my dog that other vets I visited were very reluctant to do.
Though it was difficult, she made it work and helped my dog see another two years of life. She was with me every step of the way as I said goodbye to my K9 soulmate and she made the process bearable and walked me through it by my side. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Wiegard and Vinton Vet.they are amazing. I will continue to drive from Northern Virginia for their exceptional service, hospitality and professionalism.

Another visit to the vets, not sure why my other post was removed. It was easy to schedule the appointment, no waiting once we got to the office, minimal wait time to see the vet. Had all my questions answered and spent about 40 minutes with the vet. They didnt rush through the appointment which was really nice. checking out was great the staff entertained my puppy for me while I payed the bill.
It can be a challenge to pay the bill, juggle the bag of medications, my purse, keep the puppy incheck, dont drop the puppy toys/treats, find your car keys and remember to put your credit card away before it gets lost. My puppy also loves everyone there - she usually runs to the door, stops at the.counter to say hi, runs to the scales and tries to play with any one and everyone she meets on the way to the exam room then doesn't want to leave.

This has been my vet for the past two years. They have 6 vets, I've seen 3 or 4 of them now. I'm partial to Dr. Gallagher, but everyone is great. The nice thing about this big staff is that it's easy to get into see them, and they have a few appointments after 5 pm (important to my stupid job). They have very reasonable fees and provide top notch vet care for my two labradors.

These people don't care about their customers.only the almighty dollar. Can some tell me why you have me call in prescription refills 24 hours ahead of time and I end up waiting almost 30 minutes for them when I come in the next day {35 hours later}? With only 2 other people in line? And the smug condescending attitude that permeates this office needs to be lost.
I counted 5 customers{who came in after me} who's meds/doctors orders they picked up where ready and they were out the door inside of 5-8 minutes. Enjoy that money you got from me.it will be the last time.

This is where I take the Bat-dogs for their check ups. The front desk is always helpful and I never have to wait long to see the Vet. Highly recommend both Dr Neal and Dr Webber. I never feel rushed and they always answer all of my questions. Mrs Batman has started taking her pooch here as well. Even though the Batcave is 4 hours away, THIS is our Vet of choice.
