I have been coming to this location for 2 years now. First with my rescued senior dog and now with my two cats. The providers and staff at this location are unmatched. My senior dog has a slew of issues but they always made time to fit us in and provide him the best care possible. He was always excited to go to the vet. That is how great they are! When it was time to say goodbye to him they were so compassionate. The ladies at the front desk were so supportive and kind and Dr. Ordas made this truly sad experience just that much easier. Now with my two cats I know there is no better place to entrust their care. I had an emergency with one of them before even establishing care and Dr Glasser fit him in same day and was super efficient and informative. I cannot recommend this practice enough and if my pets could talk I am sure they would too!

I went to several Astorian vet offices trying to figure out what the best route was for my fur baby Clio. I went first to Bond Vet, the veterinarian was nice, but he immediately wanted to removed all of her teeth. Clio is a >2y/o F Blue Russian. I was shocked. Then I went to Pet MD. They again immediately suggested to pull her teeth out. No dental exam/ no X-Rays, no medical treatment prior. Then, against my poor baby's desire, I schlepped her to one more vet office. Dr. Glasser.
He agreed with the other vets she has the autoimmune condition stomatitis . Rather than the harsh and abrupt surgery for such a young lady, he put her on an autoimmune suppressant- Cyclosporine. We are one month in and she has significantly improved. She isn't cured because you can't cure autoimmune conditions, but manage it. Took her for a follow up and she is doing much better!
Have her scheduled for a dental cleaning because, albeit medicine can do so much-my baby girl needs her teeth cleaned! The staff are amazing too! Shout out to Dr. Glasser, Sophie, Liz, Pamela and their parakeet Lou! Much love

I like going there because they know what they are doing! Always nice to have a vet who can take time to explain everything without rushing you! They call you as soon as they have any result! Even after a vaccin they call you the next day to see how your dog's doing! If you need to bring your dog they always try to squeeze you between appointments which is amazing! It's been 2.5years I'm bringing my frenchie and I'm very pleased with them both Doctor are fantastic even the receptionist. Highly recommend!

I wish I would have about GDV before my beautiful Siberian Husky died. My beautiful 9 year old Siberian Husky girl was not eating very well. I took her to VEG on Nov. 6, 2021 and they told me that her liver enzymes were elevated. They did x-rays of her stomach and found nothing wrong with her. I came to Steinway Court who was her regular vet for a follow up on Nov. 11, 2021 to check her liver enzymes again and to do a sonogram to see if there was something wrong with her.
They told me her liver enzymes had gone down (not to normal levels, but had gone down significantly), they also did a sonogram, which was normal, and told me to feed her a bland diet and that the front desk would give me a few samples of a special diet for her. I forgot to get the samples and the front desk forgot to give them to me as well. Other than that, I had no special instructions.
Her sonogram was normal and her overall health was ok, aside for the slightly elevated liver enzymes. I started feeding her white rice and boiled chicken that I made at home and she really liked it. Her appetite was much better and she was doing great. On Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, which was one month after she was seen at Steinway Court, I fed her like everyday, and she ate really fast.
She seemed to be very hungry and she gulped her food very fast and drank water very fast. I was so happy that she was back to normal and so happy that she was hungry and eating well. but literally a few minutes after she gulped her food, her stomach started twirling (looked like waves inside her stomach), it looked like she was having contractions. she cried in pain for about 9 minutes and died, just like that.
I didn't even have time to take her to a vet. My poor baby died in pain due to something completely 100% preventable. I wish someone at Steinway Court would have told me that big/deep chested dogs can't eat fast, I wish they would have told me that I should get a slow bowl, and I wish that I was educated on how to prevent GDV. My dog died a few minutes after she gulped her food and I had no idea why.
Aren't vets supposed to warn pet owners about certain conditions that could affect certain pets? My dog had a deep chest and she died unnecessarily because nothing was wrong with her. I will never forgive Steinway Court for not warning me about GDV. I just hope this review helps dog owners that have big, deep chested dogs. Never let your dog eat/drink too fast, get a slow bowl, please!
Now I have a Rotsky puppy (rottweiler/husky mix) and I will NOT bring him SteinwayCourt. I just don't trust them anymore. My furry baby girl did not have to die. Meeka, I will love you forever, and I miss you. I'm sorry that I did not know what GDV was, I'm sorry I let you eat so fasy my baby. Rest in Peace my furry angel. I will hold you in my heart until I hold you again in heaven. I love you Meeka.

I recently imported my two dogs from El Salvador and I did a full research on the best veterinarians in my neighborhood, I read really good reviews about Steinway Court Veterinarian but they certainly don't make justice to the excellent service I received from Dr. Glass and all his team, who where caring with my babies and very patient to respond to all the million questions I had. Extremely grateful to have found such great team to take care of my dogs in this new adventure in the U.S.!

The best experience I've ever had with a Veterinarian! Very friendly & welcoming staff. I adopted my dog from NorthShore Animal League and I usually take him there for care, I had an emergency and they couldn't take me so I called Steinway Court and they were able to take me within 30 min, got Lincoln feeling better within hours. My new vet!

I brought my cat here for the first time for a dental check up. Everyone in the room were very friendly and welcoming, from the receptionists to the veterinarian, and even other patients in the waiting area. I had an appointment and was seen on time even as a first time patient (make sure you fill out the new patient form on their website). Dr. Ordas was brilliant and showed great experience and passion in his field. I'll definitely be coming here for all my cats' future visits.
