Mark is originally from Texas but considers Vermont his adopted home. Originally he went to school to study physics and worked as an engineer for Lockheed-Martin in New Mexico and then IBM right here in Essex Junction, before finally going back to school to become a veterinarian. Mark received his veterinary degree from Tufts University and completed an internship at Cornell University before becoming an emergency veterinarian in Cape Cod. He enjoys ice hockey, cycling, hiking, motorsports, or just basically 'fixing things'.
Green Mountain Animal Hospital is seeking both part-time and full-time associate veterinarians to join our family-oriented practice. We brought our dog in for surgery and had to take her to PEAK to have the sutures and incision redone. We got a call from the animal care manager after leaving a comment for feedback which was great but did nothing to improve our experience. We just had to schedule a 4th appointment to remove stitches that were never removed at the removal appointment.
There is a clear lack of care and attention to the service we received during recent visits. Due to recent poor experiences, multiple surgery errors, and over $1200 in additional fees for emergency care with othet vets, we will be looking for a new vet after many years of animal care with GMAH.

GMAH is the absolute best. Every single person on staff cares deeply about every pet that comes in. They are thoughtful, kind, gentle, accommodating, and take the time to make sure our needs are met and answer all of our questions. I can't recommend them more highly- we are so lucky to have such amazing people caring for our pets.

I love Green Mountain Animal Hospital! The ladies are always very sweet, helpful and accommodating! My pup is always excited to visit and see Dr. Simone. It's good to know my Ollie boy is always in good hands, and up to date with his vaccines, heart worm & flea and tick medications. Thank you for the peace of mind! I've been going to GMAH since 1993 or 1994 when I got a dog. Went to the North Avenue location for many years because it was so convenient. The staff have always been friendly and kind at both locations. I had one cat who always got pretty scared there and required gauntlet gloves and a towel but the staff still treated him with love and kindness.
When this indoor boy got out several years ago, some kind soul brought him to GMAH after he was hit by a car and I was able to go and identify him. The staff was so kind at a very low point for me. This year, when my current kitteh went for her first checkup, they were doing curbside care, came out to the car and took her inside for me. I was thrilled and impressed by their service at such a challenging time! Sarah, the vet tech, is amazing! Always friendly, courteous, and welcoming. I recommend GMAH to anyone who I hear gets a new pet. Thanks for being so reliable!

I can't recommend Green Mountain Animal Hospital enough! My dog Maya has been a patient there since I moved to Burlington about 3.5 years ago. Maya is accident prone so we're frequent visitors at the vet. They always take amazing care of her and are never dismissive of my concerns or questions. The staff is kind, supportive, prompt, and organized. Seriously, take your pets here because they'll be treated like a celebrity haha
