Dr. Kris Hansen grew up in Stratford, CT. He graduated from Fairfield Prep in 1987 and when on to obtain his Bachelor Degree from Hobart and William Smith in Geneva, NY where he majored in Science. Having been passionate about animals since his childhood, Dr. Hansen worked as a kennel attendant during his high school years and followed his calling to become a veterinarian.

Never accepting any new patients . Every time I call and try (since it is the closest to my location) they aren't excepting any new patients. Once I had a medical emergency and they very coldly said your going to have to try somewhere else. I then asked if they could recommend anywhere and they said "no sorry".

I've been taking my dog Lucy to Ash Creek since she was a pup. She loves it there and so do I. They always take good care of her and Dr. Chris Hansen is always so understanding and compassionate. A lot of the same staff have been working there for years too so it's nice to have familiar faces especially when your furry friend needs medical care.

You can’t get any better with the staff and the doctors at Ash Creek. Very professional and they will answer any questions you have. The pricing is excellent and they really care about you and your loved animal/pets. They helped me with my 20 year old cat and treated him like it was their own pet. I want to thank everyone at Ash Creek for your 10 star ⭐️ professional establishment.

Ash Creek Animal Hospital and their staff are awesome. Dr. Kris and Dr. Rebecca Weitzner both helped diagnose my Coco's condition (two separate issues were happening), and through the proper medications, Coco is back to being herself again. I love my little girl and I am so very pleased with Ask Creek. Thank you again and again.

I cannot say enough about the kindness and great care both my dog Eddie and I received when I brought my Australian
Shepherd during a recent sick visit. Dr Weitzner and assistant Jeff went out of their way to make the dog feel safe and secure- and they are so professional yet so loving- it is clear they truly love their work and the animals they care for. I give them a 5 star rating!

We’ve been going to Ash Creek for years and have really enjoyed our experience this last year with Dr. Rebecca. She is knowledgeable, sensitive, and compassionate. We had to put down our beloved cat last spring, and while never easy, she and her staff were so very gentle, kind, and understanding. We love the people at the front desk and all of the staff treat June, Bauer and Jeffrey like their own. We know our paws are in good hands!

Ash Creek animal hospital has some of the most amazing doctors in veterinary medicine that I have ever known. Doctor Kris Hansen owns the practice and we have been clients of his for the past 25 years. Could not say better things about him if I tried. When our golden retriever unfortunately had to be put down he came to our house spoke privately to my boys who were very young at the time explained everything that was going to go on checks everything out at his grave site made sure that everything was as it should be and then proceeded to give Bear his shot on our porch. It was very sad but he was incredibly understanding and amazing about the entire thing. We now have three Rottweilers and he takes amazing care of all of them.

Cold is certainly a word to describe this location. I brought my pup (rescue) there for his final checkup and "Clean bill of health." She weighed him, talked to me for a hot second and told me he's a good dog, he's good, and then left and told (the shelter person) that she'll mail his health certificate (which says he has nothing contagious). They clearly have ZERO regard for service or animals, even the people behind the counter could care less about an animal in the room.
I went to another place because I sensed something was wrong, and less than 10 days after bringing him to Ash creek, he has Round, Hook, AND TAPE worms (which are contagious)! And I never took him to a dog park or out with other dogs yet (thank goodness). Definitely WILL NEVER go back to Ash Creek

I had a horrible first and last experience at this Vet. The doctor spoke over my head and did not explain things in a customer-friendly manner. I did not trust him and felt like he was trying to take advantage of me and drive up the bill. The bill was outrageous - the check-up and tests for my pugs were double what I normally pay for a similar exam. As I was leaving, I asked for my dogs' file and I absolutely will never go back.
