Awkward front desk staff and rude veterinarian. I arrived 5 minutes late after calling to tell them and was told by the vet that need to be more responsible and I am delaying the rest of her schedule. I would've been happy to reschedule when I called instead of having this experience. Prices are average for NYC vet offices.

I will not be returning to this vet ever again. Very rude and intense. I've had cats all my life and been to vets that were kind and professional. I really believe that Manhattan Cat Specialist only cares about the bill. I left my card on file and they have made multiple unauthorized charges after they called and I strictly said no.

Please do not waste your time and money going to this place. They are very unethical and only care about racking up the bill. I came in today because my kitten was having diarrhea. Instead of doing a stool sample the veterinarian came in and give my kitten a rabies shot and took her blood work before going over it with me first. It took 4 assistants to get the shot and they handled my kitten so rough.
It was heartbreaking seeing how rough they handled my kitten. It was beyond unprofessional. The veterinarian finally returned to my concern about my kitten's diarrhea ( the only reason I came to the vet) and told me I just needed to feed her chicken instead of fish. If you want your pet to be handled with care please do not go to Manhattan Cat Specialists.

Dr. Painter is so sweet and caring. I've never had a vet who was so kind and patient. And Gill, the vet tech/nurse is SUPER AWESOME! He is the sweetest, most awesome, caring cat dude ever! Gill and Dr. Painter make me feel like they love my cats as much as I do! With all my rescued cats, I've been to A LOT of vets in NYC and seen a lot of techs. Gill is the best tech, with over 15 years of experience and an inspiration to anyone who rescues and loves cats. I won't trust my cats to anyone else now!

Lovely staff! Super patient and knowledgeable. I had a million questions and concerns about finances, and they answered them all. Also, I have a particularly ill-behaved and scary cat (like, metal gloves and tranquilizer "bad"), but Dr. Sevalla was incredibly patient and kind to her, and me too! They genuinely like kitties here, which is such a nice change from other vets I've visited. My super anxious girl with stomach problems was on the mend in no time!

Great place to take your cat. Everyone working here is nice and very helpful. The doctors really know what they're doing. They've helped me diagnose and manage my cat's lymphoma. The previous vet I went to simply recommended I not seek and diagnosis, and let nature take its course. Glad I got a second opinion! I'm going to cherish all the time I have left with my little guy.
